That means the treats contain no animal products including eggs, milk, butter or honey. [More about a vegan diet] The goodies contain no cholesterol and are made with non-hydrogenated oils (no trans fats) and organic ingredients. We pay special attention to quality ingredients such as organic flours and sugars. All of our sweets are suitable for people with dairy and egg allergies and some items can be made with other allergies and preferences in mind, for instance soy-free, gluten-free, low sugar (low glycemic index) or nut-free.

My Goodies Bakery has a small selection of living (raw) desserts with more on the way. [More on a raw diet] Many folks shy away from vegan baked goods because they have a bad reputation of being bland, dry, and dense. At My Goodies Bakery we hope to dispel that stereotype. We believe we make delicious baked goods that just happen to be vegan. The vision is for My Goodies Bakery to expand into a full-scale vegan bakery in 2009. Until then feel free to look for us at upcoming events or just contact us with your order.

That’s right! My Goodies Bakery treats can now be found at the East End Food Co-op (7516 Meade Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208). You can find cinnamon buns in the freezer section and cheesecake will accompany them soon.

Also, you will find My Goodies at the Pittsburgh Flea in the Strip on April 18th from 8AM – 3PM with other unique vendors. The market is at 21st and Railroad in the Strip District. You can find a list of vendors and more information at www.pittsburghflea.com.
